Our mission at Candlebark is to breed top quality performance horses with outstanding temperaments.   

The foundation mares are warmblood/TB or TB with exceptional bloodlines and outstanding temperaments. 

Our interests are dressage, eventing and showjumping with emphasis on ensuring all horses can jump well enough to show jump or event, as well as move well enough to be successful in dressage.  In addition, they must have outstanding temperaments so that they are easy to handle and are exceptionally trainable. 

Candlebark is situated in the scenic Arthurs Creek area (45 minutes drive east from Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport) with views northeast to the Kinglake Ranges and south east to the Dandenongs.  The property is used for beef production as well as horse breeding.  This enables top quality pastures to be developed and maintained and used to grow out young horses naturally, without having to rely on hard feeding.
